‘The river of mud’ (2011) by Jacob Dwyer
An investigation into why, in 2010, the kenyan cyclist, Zakayo Nderi, got off his bike and jumped into the river Garonne just before he was about to win stage 18 of the Tour de France. Dwyer connects his experiences of muddy rivers over the last 30 years to come to a conclusion.

‘Origin of the Species’ by Simon Phillipson.
This book compares a copy of Charles Darwin’s Origin of the Species published in 1902 against a more recent copy published in 2007. It highlights the evolution and editorial changes made to the book over the 105 years.

From the series ‘Mountains with no names’ (2003) by Marine Hugonnier
These photographs, drawn from a larger series, are portraits Hugonnier took of the mountains that surround the Pandjshêr Valley in the northeast of Afghanistan. These mountains have never been named: they remain blank areas on the map where only the paths are given names by local inhabitants.
