In the video “Janske-Guitar”, artist Jan Adriaans returns to his parents’ house and films his mother playing his electric guitar in the attic – the dwelling of his childhood/teenage years.
“The images in Its the Coffee Grounds, Charlie Brown are photographs I found that my father took with his Kodak Brownie when he was about 10 years old. (…) The fractured images are accompanied with text taken directly from my grandfathers comic strip, Peanuts”

Rehberger – from memory and with scant regard to technical accuracy – drew icons of 20th century design, including pieces by Marcel Breuer, Alvar Aalto and Gerrit Rietveld. He then took them to Cameroon and, working with local artist Pascale Martine Tayou, employed Cameroonian craftsmen to make replicas based on the drawings.
