Wim T. Schippers, ‘Het is me wat’ (‘It’s really something’) (1999)

Golden oldie:
Schippers constructed this sculpture for the lobby of the Ministry of Public health, Well-being and Sports. You can now find it in the lobby of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.

By the way:

ATT00063

This is a huge rock in a village of Al-Hassa Region in SaudiArabia. Except for 30 minutes in a year, it is embedded on terra firma. During the month of April, every year it raises about 11cms and remains suspended in air for 30 minutes.

According to modern legends, about 19 years ago, one terrorist was shot dead, who was hiding behind this boulder. This encounter took place in the month of April 1989. One can see fresh blood stains on the rock. Surprisingly, when the rock levitates, the blood stains become darker and appears some time later if it is wiped off.
