‘Deadpan’ by Steve McQueen (1997). Watch the video here (click realplayer or quicktime).

Reminiscent of a typcial Buster Keaton mise-en-scène, McQueen stages a deadpan humourous scene, where the house front collapses but leaves the figure mysteriously intact by leaving the window open.

Clip from Buster Keaton in Steamboat Bill Jr (1928). Watch the entire film here.

On a side note…

House-Hunting

Steve McQueen is also the pet rat of House, the doctor in the popular TV Series ‘House M.D.‘. Its named after the famous Hollywood actor Steve McQueen (1930-1980).

The unusual head tilting of a rat in the home of his ex-wife leads House to diagnose it. House nicknames the rat, Steve McQueen.

Ja, die Buster Keaton films dat is echt te gek,…heb je hem ooit gezien op latere leeftijd in een film naar een verhaal van becket, als hij volgens mij ook een komiek op leeftijd speelt,..?
